Which databases are supported?

Do my databases need to be publicly exposed?

No. Portabase uses agents deployed close to your databases, so backup and restore operations can run without exposing those databases publicly.

Where can I store backups?

Local storage is available by default, and you can also configure S3-compatible storage such as AWS S3 or MinIO, as well as Google Drive. Portabase can send the same backup to multiple destinations for extra redundancy.

Can I schedule backups and manage retention?

Yes. You can trigger backups on demand, schedule them at fixed intervals or with Cron syntax, and define retention policies per storage backend.

Can I restore backups from Portabase?

Yes. Portabase is built to manage both backups and restorations from the interface, so you can launch restore operations for supported databases without falling back to manual scripts.
